Great Britain's women's curling team celebrate winning their bronze medal after a close match against Switzerland.

Coming just 24 hours after their heartbreaking semi-final loss to Canada, Team GB's women's curlers played a superb tenth end to beat Switzerland 6-5 on Thursday to win the bronze medal.

It was the first medal in British women's curling since Rhona Martin - now a coach with the team - led her rink to gold back in 2002.

The quartet made a tentative start with a mistake from Vicki Adams allowing the Swiss to move 2-0 ahead.

But skip Eve Muirhead displayed impressive maturity and resilience as she led her team back into the contest, eventually delivering the winning final stone.

For the nerveless Muirhead and her team of Adams, Claire Hamilton and Anna Sloan, the bronze medal sits alongside the gold world championship title that they won in 2013.

Muirhead lost out on a medal in Vancouver 2010 when she was just 19 years old, but admitted that the four-year wait made this moment even more special.

The team will be out watching on Friday when Team GB's men take on defending champions Canada in the gold medal match.

Curling success has already ensured that Great Britain are enjoying their best Winter Games since 1924, with at least four medals already guaranteed.
