Purchased from www.beijingwushuteam.com , still one of my all time fave tourneys (04 qualifiers). This is Guan Sheng, he was top of the Guangdong Wushu Team the promise of the team in eve of the coming of Huang Guang Yuan, Wu Cai Bo, and Wu Nan. He was said to be the fastest, strongest, cleanest, and best style wise and bred to be a champion. He missed his 720 outside, didn't qualify, and the rest is just history. His career and his dreams were shattered with one 720 outside, but his quality and style will live on. He is one of the most impressive athletes in Nanquan history in my opinion, and has combinations I cannot begin to decipher (and I can recite Chen Lun's 2001 form blindfolded and most of Yang Shi Wen's original form). So yeah, enjoy, this guy is a legend, down with watered down Nanquan (xie fu crap). Pc out! Also, support beijingwushuteam.com as a vendor for great wushu footage. Someday i still need to buy 2002 nanquan even tho i heard they had butterfly twists into splits that year and other crappy regulations (but having legends like Huang Shao Xiong, ou xia sheng, su ku feng, li zhen, the old wang peng cheng, chen shuai, chen lun, song lin all in one tournament is pretty legendary, pc out) also check out wushuzilla's page for some great southern coverage, even the last female nanquan on his 2004 page is Chen Yang Ping, former guangdong 2 time champion, excuse her nanquan. Long live zhang ya qi and chen yang ping, and even a little wang lin! pc out!
