Physical Planning Officers Clarify Land Acquiring Processes

The Lands Officers in Lae yesterday, met with the owner of a Lae based company to discuss the process involved in acquiring a land. This came after residents living along Cassowary Road reported that the Company trading as KC2 Limited constructed accommodations on a reserve land near the Bumbu River using 20-foot containers. It was clarified that there wasn’t proper communication between the Company and their Consultant Firm engaged in surveying the reserved land and that they didn’t follow the processes involved in acquiring the land.
