Here we are at Tarrytown Station, where we see the last of a breed of a good engine on the point of CSX Train Q431, the nightly southbound mixed freight to Oak Point Yard. Tonight, Q431 has the last Conrail painted SD40-2 on this side of the Hudson River, which is 8840. The other engine that had been in Conrail paint, 8844, was recently painted into Dark Future, which made me somewhat annoyed when I found out about that. Behind the 8840, we have SD40-2 8850 (Queen of the Hudson), and GP38-2's 2720 and 2718 with a 54 car mixed freight. Enjoy the sight of this Conrail painted engine, because it is uncertain as to how much longer it will remain in Conrail Blue. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken at 1:22AM on February 27th, 2009.
