Guns N' Roses is about to rock Houston in a very big way.
The reunited band performs Friday at NRG Stadium as part of the Not in This Lifetime Tour. But we've got a sneak preview right now.
A crew of 250, including 125 locals, was setting things up Thursday inside the stadium. That includes a massive stage, seating and lights.
Production manager Dale "Opie" Skjerseth promises "a lot of pyro. More than normal. The guys wanted more."
It's his second tour with the band. This trek includes 20 trucks and 125,000 pounds of equipment.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Friday. EDM superstar Skrillex kicks things off at 8 p.m. GNR will take the stage after 9:30 p.m.
Prepare to be there late. The show lasts two hours and 45 minutes.
"They enjoy playing with each other." Skjerseth says. "That's the reasons they came back together."

Guns N’ Roses have announced that Skrillex, The Cult, Billy Talent, and Chris Stapleton will open for them at select shows this summer on the ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour. Watch the video below.

Guns N’ Roses drummer Frank Ferrer discussed Steven Adler and Matt Sorum in a new interview with Music Radar. He also discussed carrying on their ‘spirit.’

“I really try to keep the spirit of the way the song was played,” Frank explains. “When we play the Appetite… stuff I try to have the push and pulls. Steven’s punk rock bits are great.

“Adler’s playing was one of the greatest rock drumming performances in the history of music. You can put it in the top ten. His playing on Appetite… is perfect. Then with Sorum it’s a little more tight and more reserved kind of playing. I do try to keep that spirit, though.”

“I have tremendous respect for the drummers in Guns N’ Roses. I love Brain so much. What Brain told me was to try and make the songs my own. I never forget that. Obviously my own personality comes through, especially on some of the funkier stuff. I might give a more New York hip hop kind of feel to it.”

Guns N’ Roses have announced that four more acts will be joining them on the road for their Not In This Lifetime tour.

After GNR share the stage with Alice In Chains for the first five shows of their tour, they will call on Chris Stapleton, Billy Talent, The Cult, and Skrillex to warm up the crowd in select cities.
