Kenny: “Unreachable targets can't be set”

On his arrival at the December 2014 EU Summit, Irish Taoiseach Enda Kenny said that Ireland will be “ambitious about climate targets, but we don't want to be in a position where completely unreachable targets are set for us.” EU leaders are meeting in Brussels on Thursday and Friday to reach an agreement on the new climate and energy policy framework for 2030. The last EU Summit chaired by Herman Van Rompuy will also look at the state of the European economy and address some foreign policy issues. Ebola is also on the official agenda.
