My philosophy is to always go positive and Analyze the technique realistically and honestly as possible for the purpose of making it better suit you. The imaginary opponent needs to be as good as you are if not better. They can't be frozen in time. Real combat force needs to be considered. If the situation depicted is realistic then the technique will present itself realistically.
