Best FILM of the year... still want to see Up in the Air / Precious / Avatar which i know will all be good, but so far.....THE ROAD is easily the best movie of 2009 (next to The Hurt Locker)...but even though The Road is my FAVORITE....its not very rewatchable, or even allows me to reccomend it to others, because i cant. If you go in prepared for the most disturbing, depressing, and dark movie in years....then you should have the stomach for it. the movie is BEAUTIFUL, start to finish. music is flawless, directing is amazing, acting is wonderful...VIGGO is the man. SO MUCH beauty about the movie, like watching a poem in live-action. the world is dangerous and almost seems like theres barely any color left to it....yet, it looks better, and feels realer than ANY movie this year, or in a while. TOO many great things about this movie, overshadow any flaws about it...so the flaws arent worth mentioning...many people will HATE this movie, but u will never change my opinion about it. I admire this film for too much...it has stuck into my memory for days, and will remain there for weeks to come. Even though i paid Matinee price, i feel like i SHOULD HAVE paid full price, just because its so good. You may have seen it already and think im nuts for enjoying it so much...but believe me, i know what i saw, and i know how special this film is. its a rare gift to the art of cinema. If your a fan of FILM (not just blockbuster movies)...you SHOULD atleast respect the movie for many aspects. If you arent a fan of independent MEANINGFUL movies, that have a lot of heart to them, and carries a strong story....then stay away from this and go watch New Moon or something, or atleast Avatar since i hear its pretty good. This is an amazing film which i am happy to see, and honestly, although this is barely worth watching again since its mainly the story and surprises you get from it, i am tempted to go BACK to the theater to watch it again, and most likely will :) 10/10 A+ Full Price 11/10 AMAZING
