First, I would like to mention that I had never before seen a video for a destruction warlock soloing Spine of Deathwing, so I decided to make one! At first I thought it would be impossible, because spell casting means standing still for some amount of time and that often means defeat if the roll timer isn't reset. That's when I devised a pretty simple strategy for getting past this often confusing and frustrating stage of Dragon Soul.
Secondly, I apologize for all the loud Deadly Boss Mods alarms going off. They definitely help remind me to move to prevent getting blown off the Spine, along with the Hideous Amalgamations (which I need to use to blow up Deathwing's armor plates.)

Basic strategy: Destroy a tentacle; kill the amalgamation. stand in the hole where the tentacle was. Wait for 9 bloods to spawn and cast cataclysm to instantly kill the 9 bloods. Kill another tentacle and bring the amalgamation to the blood and let it absorb the blood puddles When the amalgamation has 9 stacks of blood, bring it to the armor plate closest to Deathwing's head and kill it; this will cause a Nuclear Blast and will lift up a plate revealing a blob that has a 23-second cast of "Seal Armor Breach." Kill the blob before the timer is up and the armor plate will fly off. Do this two more times and you''re golden!
