Nicky Jenkins is the Co Director and Creator of Mindful Guernsey, established in 2011. She is the Co Author of the internationally published 'Anatomy of Yoga for Posture and Health'. Nicky is one of those working to bring Mindfulness to Guernsey and facilitates personal growth, emotional resilience, creativity and well-being by working within education, businesses, clinical settings and the general public. In 2012 Mindful Guernsey made it a goal to broaden the understanding and practice of Mindfulness in the Channel Islands and the UK by running workshops, retreats and courses throughout the year. Mindful Guernsey's aim is to build a mindful society where we are accountable for our actions and our behaviour and have the belief that we can form a community of creative, compassionate individuals working together as one and boast a dynamic Guernsey society which is a model for the rest of the world. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
