Devaara Thiruthalam is a show on Peppers TV that features Shiva temples that have been mentioned in the Thirumurai, ancient Tamil poetry written by the Shaivite Saints. This particular temple which is located on the road between Mayilaaduthurai and Kumbakonam and boasts of one of the largest Nandhis in S. Tamil Nadu. And legend has it that Thirumoolar stayed in this temple and sung 3000 songs in the praise of the lord.
