This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Is American running on the most effective voting system? Mark Frohnmayer doesn’t believe so. He addresses the current system’s inequalities and offers an alternative solution. Mark Frohnmayer is a technologist with a keen interest in political process reform. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. After 11 years in the computer games industry and the sale of his first startup company, GarageGames, Mark has turned his entrepreneurial energy towards sustainable business development in Oregon. His current endeavor, Arcimoto, was founded to help catalyze the global shift to a sustainable transportation system. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
