If I had a quarter for every time I came across a construction project or finished building that had at least one safety issue, I would probably have lots of money. This is another one of them and who really knows the reason why they removed the center handrailing, even though the building code requires one and the property owner could face financial penalties in the future, if anyone was injured. Some things don't make sense and I won't ever understand everything, but this is one of those things I understand and it makes good safety sense.
