The reason YHWH seems to contradict Himself in the bible is simple. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is YHWH, and the Israelites turned their back on him and worshiped Moloch/Ba'al and called those pagan gods "YHWH". They worshiped at the golden calf saying this will be a feast "to YHWH". They were deceived into following other gods but they kept calling the gods the same name. Although then they stopped using His name altogether and started calling Him "Lord". Now Christians do the same thing with Jesus. They turned Jesus into some other god he was not, because they did not believe what he said about us having to keep the commandments to be saved. It's what it all comes down to. They are stiffnecked because they don't want to repent. So they turn the only true God, the Father of (of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus) into something He is not...a god who demands sacrifices for atonement. The bible is clear as day to me about this now... YHWH NEVER asked for sacrifices for atonement. Just like the trinity fogged my brain, the sacrifices asked from YHWH fogged my brain up too. But YHWH, our Father in heaven, guides us to all truth if we want to get rid of all our sin, repent, and keep His commands, statutes and judgements. 

Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love YHWH thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and YHWH thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore CHOOSE LIFE, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20 That thou mayest love YHWH thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which YHWH sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the LIVING.
