Although it incorporated a new touch bar interface there are many similarities in the overall design and aesthetic to the previous generation. It also introduced usb-c type 3 thunderbolt connectivity which on the one hand provides for greater data transfer but on the other makes it necessary to purchase dongles and adaptors to interface with existing peripherals. As such this was a very difficult purchasing decision to make. As a professional multimedia developer and due to a demanding work load I really needed a new MacBook so despite my concerns I have purchased the top of the line model with 16Gb of Ram, 1TB hard Drive and the 4Gb Memory card to see me through until the next offering. In this video I'll unbox it and share my initial thoughts and impressions with you and soon follow up with a more detailed review once I have had a chance to fully test it with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of Applications.
