Video capture of Fort Fremont Historic Site & Beach Preserve to share with others :) Fort Fremont was built in case of an attack on Port Royal Sound. The fort was built by the Corps of Engineers on condemmed private property. It is said to be one of the most expensive Forts built because no shots were fired. It is located on Lands End in St. Helena, S.C and overlooks Port Royal Sound to the Beaufort River. The area has a Beach Front Park and there was a steady flow of people visiting this Historic Fort. Children especially loved the Fort as evidenced by the wide eyed looks of wonderment on their faces and anxious desire to see all there was to see of this Fort. The Fort overlooks the Intercoastal Waterway and is surrounded by Huge Vast Old Oak Trees with spanish moss hanging from their long curvy reaching limbs. It was interesting over hearing some men sharing stories of when they visited this Fort as Cubscouts. The area is a beautiful backdrop for models and photographers too. Even though this was an expensive and under used Fort during it's time, it is now an amazing Lowcountry Canvas of history to visit. Note: If you visit during the summer be sure to bring insect repelant! Thanks for watching :) Video filmed by YouTuber ln4359
