1.  Xiaomi Chairman, CEO and Founder Lei Jun on Wednesday announced that the company will forever limit the net profit margin after tax for the entire hardware sales -- including smartphones, Internet of Things (IoT) and lifestyle products -- to a maximum of 5 per cent.
Jun promised its users that the company's hardware business will have an overall net profit margin that will never exceed 5 per cent.
"If the margin crosses 5 per cent, then we will find a way to return the excess above 5 per cent to our users," he said in an email to all Xiaomi employees.

After confirming the India launch date of OnePlus 6, OnePlus's latest flagship smartphone launch, the Chinese smartphone maker has also confirmed that they will be launching a special edition of the handset, to be called the OnePlus 6x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition, to mark its association with the Marvel Studios in light of the upcoming release, Avengers: Infinity War.

3. Gmail has received its first major redesign after five long years. Apart from the design overhaul, Google has added a ton of functionalities to both the Web as well as its mobile interface. Email shortcuts, reply 'nudges', smart reply, native offline mode, are only some of the features that Google has included in the Gmail makeover. While the biggest changes appear to have been implemented on the website, the Gmail app is also getting some new functional features. One of the highlights is that Gmail for Android is rolling out a 'Snooze' feature to match the revamped Web interface.

The Snooze feature is the latest addition to the Gmail app, and it allows you to put off emails that you cannot get to at the moment.
