Is it bad to switch formulas for a 7 month old baby?

It can be so confusing when trying to choose a type of formula for your baby because there's a lot of different brands and a lot of different types. The different types that have been manufactured are designed for baby specific needs. So for a baby who doesn't have specific needs, then the general, run-of-the-mill type of formula is fine. If you're just switching brands but you're using the same type, there's not a problem with that. You can just choose the one that's most cost effective for you. But if you're changing types of formula, this is something that should be done under the direction of your pediatrician because they can help you determine if your baby actually has special needs that require a special type of formula. They're usually more expensive, too, so it's in your best interest to find out if your baby actually needs that type. Now, if you just have samples at home, kind of like you mentioned, you've been experimenting with a couple of different types. A lot of people end up with samples of like, the general, run-of-the-mill type and then maybe a type that's for fussy babies. If your baby does well on both of those kinds, then it's totally fine to use them. It shouldn't mess up your baby's gut and it should be okay. The problem is if your baby has specific needs and you're not using the right type of formula.
