Through its state-of-the art program, the CE office offers a wide array of comprehensive courses and life-long learning experiences for general dentists, specialists and allied professionals. The lecture presented by Dr. Giorgio Tabanella was part of the 34th Annual USC International Periodontal & Implant Symposium held in Los Angeles in 2009. Dr. Tabanella is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He graduated from the University of Southern California where he obtained a Certificate in Periodontics as well as the Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology. He received the Outstanding periodontal graduate student award in surgery & implantology by the California Society of Periodontists. He is the Scientific Coordinator of the International Implant Conference and author of several articles published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Tabanella has lectured in Europe as well as in the US. His research focuses on peri-implant bone loss, and soft and hard tissue reconstruction. He maintains a private practice limited to periodontology, reconstructive and implant surgery in Rome, Italy.
