In POLICE STORIES you play as a police officer trying to rescue innocent civilians from hostage situations.

In lots of other games, that would mean running in firing your guns at anything that moved in the hope of having the fastest trigger finger.

Looking at you, Rainbow Six Siege.

This game is different. Taking a crack at the blood thirsty actions in Hotline: Miami, this top down shooter is more tactical.

Breach doors, demand offenders drop their weapons and arrest everyone in the building... we can sort them out later.

But if they don't surrender immediately... they might need to be coerced.

A warning shot, and a swift elbow to the face is usually enough to subdue them.

And if they raise their weapon on you? Then, and ONLY THEN, are you allowed to shoot the bad guy.

Any other injuries take away from your score.

Oh, and don't let surrendered perps out of your sight, they will take any chance they can get to pick up their dropped guns and shoot you in the back.

Welcome to Hotline Miami; tactical edition!

A fresh take on top-down shooters that puts an emphasis on tactics and forces you to make split second decisions. Rescue civilians, disarm and arrest criminals; and remember - shooting first is not an option.

Features
The Surrender System allows you to apprehend the suspects without resorting to violence. Firing a warning shot near them or engaging in melee combat are just a few ways of how you can make them submit.
Issue commands to your partner, Rick Jones. Make sure to use him wisely - teamwork is, after all, the key to success. In addition, directing your partner boosts his accuracy and reflexes, so it's better not to leave him on his own.
Randomly placed criminals, hostages and evidence make every new run feel unique.. Every time you restart the world around you changes, leading to new interesting situations and opportunities.
As a law enforcement officer, you will have access to end-of-the-line police equipment, including under door cameras, door blast charges and many others.
All your steps and actions are scored in real time . Playing rough won't get you a result high enough to reach the next mission - so keep that in mind!
Local and Online Co-op . Completing levels with a friend sounds like a lot of fun, doesn’t it?
With a full-scale Level Editor players all over the world can create thousand of amazing assignments.
