However, if you can it like this, it will taste just like tender, soft beef! Join Mrs. Kapper as she takes you step by step on how she cans venison to preserve it, and make it taste 10 times better than any other venison recipe. Mrs. Kapper grew up on a dairy farm and when the cows stopped producing milk they consumed them, and needless to say they were not the most tender of meats, so this canning process was handed down by her mother from their Wisconsin farm. You will need a 'pressure canner' and NOT a 'pressure cooker!' They are 2 different things. If you decide to give this a try, good luck and we wish you the best!
