GoPro Hero 3+ on 18650 External battery

This camera is equipped with a dummy battery pack that allows for external power to be supplied to the unit. I have used this battery and a modified battery charger to power this camera with batteries I have available to me now. The camera operates on the same voltage that is provided by the 18650 and 18000/26000 series batteries. 4.2v. This setup with conservative batteries is capable of 5000mah of power. That's like 3x bigger than the battery pac from gopro. Upgrade it to a pair or even a trio of parallel batteries and you could easily do 10kmah in a remote battery pack.
