Here are the 10 toxic foods that you should not give your dog.

1. Chocolate

Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, is one of the best known toxic foods for dogs. Black chocolate is more toxic than milk chocolate and white chocolate.

2. Onions.

All forms of onions, including dehydrated onions, raw or cooked, or any type of table scraps containing cooked onions, are toxic to dogs.

3. Macadamia nuts

In certain cases, after ingesting macadamia nuts, your furry friend can suffer a series of symptoms, which include an increase in body temperature, faster heartbeat, weakness and vomiting.

4. Grapes and raisins.

Grapes and raisins are beneficial for humans, but they are not so beneficial for your four-legged friend. Grapes and raisins cause toxicity in dogs due to contamination by fungicides, herbicides or pesticides present.

5. Avocados or avocado.

Eating avocado can cause vomiting and diarrhea in a dog. Other symptoms include breathing difficulties, abdominal enlargement and an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the chest and abdomen.

6. Apple cores

The core toxicity of the apple can cause several symptoms, including apprehension, dilation of the pupils, drooling, respiratory problems, dizziness, collapse, seizures, hyperventilation, shock and coma.

7. Alcohol is toxic to your dog.

Do not give any form of alcohol to your pets. Also, make sure your pet does not lick spilled beer or whiskey. Alcohol can affect your dog's liver and brain, just as it does with yours.

8. The bacon.

Finally, you should not give raw or cooked bacon to your dog, no matter how much your pet looks at you. Cooked bacon is a highly fatty food that can cause canine pancreatitis, an often fatal condition.

9. Wild mushrooms, or wild mushrooms.

Ingestion of wild mushrooms is dangerous for dogs, while common white mushrooms appear to be safe for dogs to eat. Once consumed, wild mushrooms can cause abdominal pain, drooling, liver damage, kidney damage, vomiting, restlessness, diarrhea, seizures, excessive urination, salivation, coma or death.

10. Any food with artificial sweeteners.

You should not give your dog soft drinks, muffins, candies, muffins, cookies, pieces of rubber or anything that contains artificial sweeteners. These products may contain xylitol, an artificial sweetener that can cause an excessive release of insulin, kidney failure or worse.
