Norris and fellow attendee Arnold Schwarzenegger had campaigned with Bush as he sought re-election in 1992. Also in attendance was Ming and fellow Houston Rockets player Dikembe Mutumbo, who both formed friendships with the president as they bonded over charity work. Houston Texan star Watt was close friends with Bush's wife Barbara and often made special appearances with her. Actress Terri Hatcher attended the funeral, as did numerous MLB Hall of Famers.
