Land expropriation Ad hoc committee in the pipeline

A motion to establish an Ad Hoc Committee to conduct an amendment to section 25 of the Constitution has been passed by the National Assembly. The amendment gives effect to land expropriation without compensation. It was tabled by the ANC's Chief Whip Jackson Mthembu. This week the Joint Constitutional Review Committee approved a report that approved amendments to the Constitution.
