27" IMac's (Late 2009) PSU Was Destroying My Guitar Tone

Sweet success (not really, see UPDATE below)!!!  It was the power supply unit (PSU) in my 27" IMac that was causing all of my static problems.  All of my guitar amps are dead silent now along with my home stereo.   I'm really curious what component in the bad PSU could cause such a bad interference in all of my home wiring.  My own deduction is that it somehow was bleeding DC current back into the home wiring.  Not good at all.  It is a really bad electrical interference that I don't think Apple wants to fess up to.  I ordered a new PSU from IFixit and it worked perfectly.  Check out their videos if you ever need to fix something electronic.  They are great and their products come with Lifetime Warranties. **UPDATE**  The PSU replacement only worked for about two weeks and the noisy static returned just like before.  So it is not worth replacing it.  Maybe try the LCD Driver first.  That was my other choice.  



NOTE:  Sleep Mode helped me pinpoint the problem was in the power supply and not the LCD screen or Inverter card.  I will add that little video later.  I meant to add it to this one and forgot.
