This beach is a narrow strip of land with Bay of Bengal on one side and Indian Ocean on the other side .Two vast oceans very different from each other in colour and behaviour, one ocean is calm and the other very rough. This is the last and the nearest piece of India to Sri Lanka. The drive to the beach is absolutely stunning and scenic. En route, one will find the ghost town of Dhanushkodi which was destroyed in the Tsunami cyclone. The ruins of the church, station along with the other ruins makes one wonder that nature is still the strongest. The road with the seas on both side - Bay of Bengal to the left and Indian Ocean on the right offers a mesmerizing view. One sea is rough and green while the other is calm an blue. The beaches are clean. The feeling of jumping from the Bay of Bengal beach to the Indian Ocean bea is heavenly. This place has great significance in Hinduism and the world. It was viewed from space to show a land bridge was present eons ago. And a story of this is present I the Holy text of Hinduism. It is a picturesque place. It i also where the tsunami hit.
