A rare krithi by noted 20th century composer Dr. V.V. Srivatsa. Very few of his compositions appear to be in vogue today, most of them popularized by the late great D. K. Jayaraman. Gowrimanohari is itself a raga with much scope for elaboration but very few major krithis. Guruleka by Tyagaraja is the towering kriti which forms the basis of our understanding of this raga today. A related raga in Hindustani music is Patdeep.

This krithi is set to Adi tala but the general feel is more like a pallavi. I believe it should be Double Adi (Retta kalai) with Na of the word Tarana falling on the first beat of the Dritam. The word Sakala will start two aksharas after the samam, making the Na of the word Karana fall again on the dritam.
