PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION: Some time ago, I discovered I had the extended edition of the Adobe Creative Suite 5. Why is that important? Because I learned that it had 3D model capabilities. I began researching up about 3D software and I began learning about .obj files. With further searching, I found some free 3D .obj files that I could mess around with. With some further experimenting, I learned how to color and give textures to these 3D objects in Photoshop, and upon FURTHER experimentation, I learned that I had the potential to animate 3D objects in Adobe After Effects! Needless to say, this has opened so many doors for me and I decided to implement a little test with it. What you see here is the product of 6 straight hours of work. I would work on it more, but I'm running out of time here at college (I graduate soon), and I need to start looking for a job before I can continue this kind of stuff on the side. As you can see by the video, I am incredibly rusty with this 3D animating stuff, but I think I've got a pretty good idea on how it works for the most part and I intend to implement this in any future projects. Who knows, maybe I could use this stuff in RANDOM? (EPIC FORESHADOWING!!!) So yeah, let me know what you think and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Software Used: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects CS5, and Final Cut Pro 7. Background effects made in Particle Illusion SE. Music: F-ZERO GX Intro NOTICE: I can't seem to recall where I got the links to the free obj files. If I can find it again, I will post the link to them here.
