One month has passed since Samus became unconscious after being hit by a large blast attack of phazon energy from Dark Samus back in Norion. She has awoken to discover that the Federation had implented a new P.E.D. (Phazon Enhancement Device) instrument inside her Varia suit while it was being repaired. She can now go into Hypermode and use Phazon energy to increase her firepower. However, she must be careful on she uses it or else the Phazon will completely take over her and transform her into another Dark Samus and die. Will she use it responsibly? Or will she succumb to its power and thirst for more?

Meanwhile, Samus learns from a meeting with Aurora Unit 242 that the fellow Hunters that aided her in Norion were also equipped with P.E.D. suits and went missing 7 days ago. Now Samus must finish their missions and find out what happened to the Hunters. Her first mission will take her to Bryyo, a primitive planet inhabited by four-armed reptilian warriors that now thirst for power. It was told that Rundas was dispatched here.

======================================

Once again, I apologize for speeding it up on some parts. If only YouTube didn't have a 10-minute limit..

Also, if I was Samus, I'd be pretty pissed that they tampered with my Varia Suit that the Chozo specifically made for me. I mean, being able to use Phazon and all is cool, but doing it while I was unconscious with no permission? Seriously.

Nonetheless, this is probably one of my most favorite cutscenes in the game. Mostly because of the Super Metroid theme playing in the background when talking to 242. :3
