Honest Harold Episode Titled Thanksgiving Play. Original Air Date Was 11/22/1950. This series came about because CBS signed Hal Peary to an exclusive contact in 1950, hoping Kraft Foods would bring "THE GREAT GILDERSLEEVE" over to their network. Unfortunately, they were perfectly happy staying on NBC's Wednesday night schedule, and got Williard Waterman to replace Hal that fall. Peary made the best of it with this sustaining series, which lasted one season on CBS [Wednesdays, 9pm(et)].
