Pierre Blais was entering his Toyota Eco car at his residence in Hope Creek Village, Stann Creek, when he was attacked by two masked men. One of the men drew a firearm and pointed at Blais’ head before firing a single shot, hitting Blais behind the left ear. Meanwhile, the second assailant hit the elderly man with a baseball bat. Blais was later tied, while his robbers searched his residence. The men escaped in Blais’ vehicle and according to ACP Joseph Myvett, they lost control of the vehicle, which ended in a ditch.
