NEWS DESK | At least seven people have been wounded in a terror attack near the Ofra settlement in the West Bank. Our Emily Rose has the story.

Seven Israelis were wounded by gunfire on Sunday night in a terrorist attack near Ofra's settlement in the West Bank, the Israeli army said in a statement.

A man fired from a car at a group of Israelis waiting at a bus station at the entrance of the settlement.

Among the victims, a 21-year-old pregnant woman was seriously injured, according to a spokeswoman for a Jerusalem hospital.

According to a source, the doctors performed a caesarean section to save the baby, but the mother is still in critical condition.

The condition of the infant is also very worrying, said the Jerusalem hospital on Monday.

'The shooting was carried out from a Palestinian car on Israeli civilians who were at a bus station,' the army said.

'Soldiers fired at the car that drove away and the security forces pursued the vehicle,' she said in the statement.

According to witnesses, at least two people were in the vehicle.

In a video taken by a security camera and broadcast on social networks, a white car slows down near the bus stop, after which bullets hit the crowd, trying to escape.

The car, which comes to a standstill for a few moments as it fires, flees at full speed as Israeli soldiers begin to approach.

The seven wounded were evacuated to Shaare Zedek and Hadassah Mount Scopus hospitals in Jerusalem, according to the relief services.

The army, the border police and the security services conducted searches all night to find the perpetrator of the attack. In particular, several searches were carried out in Palestinian villages in the West Bank.

The army has announced that it has arrested 16 Palestinians overnight. The latest attack on Israelis in the West Bank dates back to November 26, when a Palestinian attacked the car ram, injuring three soldiers. He was later killed by members of the Israeli forces.
