RCU Magazine Event - NEAT FAIR 2008

Before the dust even settles on the Rhinebeck Jamboree, a group of Long Islanders decend on a remote campground located in the Catskill Mountains along the East branch of the Deleware River. These stalwart members of the Silent Electric Flyers of Long Island are there to prepare the campsite for one of the largest electric-only radio control aircraft meets in North America.NEAT Fair has been held at the Peaceful Valley Campsite in Shinhopple, NY (near Downsville) since 2000. In the past 8 installments, this meet has had its share of both beautiful and interesting weather, including the famous flood of 2004 in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan.
