This is a time lapse sequence from a remote camera that was placed in Kill Devil Hills, NC during the Nor'easter storm on November 12, 2009. It shows the power of the ocean as it erodes the dunes away for several hours during that powerful storm. The camera system was invented in 2005 as a way to remotely study hurricanes and other severe storms without having to put a person in harm's way.
