In the beautiful Romance, the pure dance of Ton Simons is framed by quiet video portraits by the renowned photographer Rineke Dijkstra. The triptych they created was an intimate and sensitive highlight of the 2014 programme Dutch Doubles. Simons took the middle movement of Mozart’s ‘very personal’ Piano Concerto no. 20 as the inspiration for his choreography.
