(25 Oct 2018) Germany's President of the Bundestag Wolfgang Schauble said on Thursday that Chancellor Angela Merkel is still in a "strong position" despite her coalition being projected to face steep losses in a state election this weekend. Schauble spoke after touring Jerusalem's Holocaust Museum, Yad Vashem, during his two-day trip to Israel. He had also visited the Israeli Knesset and met with the Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein on Wednesday.
