Kate, 35, (right) received a very special loan in the form of a pearl choker as she attended the anniversary dinner of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in Windsor on Monday. The four-strand pearl choker worn by Kate this evening previously belonged to the Queen and it is believed to be the first time that she has worn the piece. The choker was previously borrowed by Princess Diana, who was loaned the statement piece to wear at a banquet at Hampton Court Palace in 1982 (centre) and was seen on Her Majesty the following year in Bangladesh (left). Kate joined William and Harry who could be seen arriving by car at the Queen's home where celebrations of her wedding anniversary will be held this evening. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are celebrating 70 years of marriage together a milestone platinum anniversary. They are celebrating with close family and friends at a special dinner at the Berkshire residence on Monday evening. Earlier today Her Majesty presented the Duke with a rare honour as a special anniversary present, appointing Philip a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) for services to the sovereign.
