This is "Butterbean", my Figure 8 Puffer. S/He's camera shy, so I'm surprised I got "him" on film having his dinner of pond snails.
Figure 8 Puffers, like all Pufferfish, need hard shells to crush with their tooth plates, in order to keep their growth in check.
These Puffers need to be kept in brackish water. I keep this tank at 1.008 S.G..
