French PM on investigation into Strasbourg attack

(12 Dec 2018) French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on Wednesday expressed his "great sadness" and "great anger" after a deadly shooting in Strasbourg which he called a "terrorist attack". On Tuesday night a gunman opened fire at a Christmas market in the eastern French city and killed two people, left a third brain-dead and injured 12. The alleged attacker, identified as 29-year-old Cherif Chekatt, is still at large and Philippe said "massive means" had been made available to ensure that he was tracked down and arrested.
