April 29 (Bloomberg) -- Chris Marangi, an analyst at Gabelli & Co., talks with Bloombergs Deirdre Bolton and Scarlet Fu about the prospects of Viacom Inc. paying a dividend or repurchasing stock in the second half of the company's fiscal year.
Viacom, owner of MTV Networks and the Paramount Pictures film studio, said first-quarter profit rose 38 percent after it reduced operating expenses by $227 million and cable-TV ratings improved. (Source: Bloomberg)
