Doug Kupper, Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Director, talks about the future Lone Oak Park in northwest OKC. Mark Stonecipher, Oklahoma City Council member for Ward 8, visits the Lone Oak Park tree. It is near NW 150 and west of SH 74. The giant old oak tree is quite a sight to see in central Oklahoma on the northwest edge of OKC. It is huge. And it is going to be in the next Oklahoma City park when it opens next year. Lone Oak Park was once called Lone Oak Farms and the tree was a favorite of the late Dean A. McGee.
