ich parasite is gone saltwater aquarium : ich free : parasite free healthy saltwater aquarium is parasite free. ich in 125 gallon saltwater aquarium is gone. fish are out of quarantine tank and back in their 125 gallon saltwater home. follow ich guidelines for healthy fish. No more ich parasite in main saltwater aquarium. They're back home after 7 week quarantine! ich is a nasty parasite that will take out your fish very fast. if you see white spots or bumps on your fish's body or they are zooming quickly passed rocks or sand as if to itch themselves, you more than likely have ich in your aquarium. this is very bad. the only way to kill this parasite is to remove its food source, your fish. remove all your fish into a separate aquarium for minimum of 6 weeks. while they are in this 2nd aquarium, the parasites in your main aquarium will die because their food source (your fish) has been taken away. your fish will need to be treated with cupramine copper solution by seachem while in the 2nd tank, quarantine tank. this copper solution must be dosed properly. too much will hurt or kill your fish and too little dose will not kill the parasites. my fish were in quarantine for 7 weeks and went back in today. it's so nice to see them swimming in their home again. i bought an anemone and did not quarantine it long enough. parasites came in on that i'm sure, since i had no issues before buying it. for this reason, you MUST quarantine EVERYTHING you bring into your home for at least 4 weeks. you can only treat fish in copper solution. corals and inverts (snails and shrimp) must be kept in a separate tank with NO COPPER. copper will kill them instantly. in your quarantine tank, you only want saltwater and some pvc pipe for the fish to hide in. watch my other videos on ich and please subscribe and share out. thank you so much for growing our channel!
