I played the new tabletop game The Edge: Dawnfall by Awaken Realms at Roll Play game lounge and, while I didn't win, it was pretty fun! Had a decent run of the board before the end.

It was a four way fight between the Faceless (me because I had a Transformers shirt!) zombie robots, the Reborn treehugging trees, the Chapter zealot types and the Demon-ic devil dudes. We whittled down that giant red demon's endurance and it was down to me and him with no crystals left between us and he successfully defended! If I had beaten him, I would have gotten the four points to win! Argh!

(but it turns out that treemaids don't give you a point for beating one so I still would have been a point short. I wouldn't have won anyway! Nuts!)

Crystals are important! IMPORTANT! Needed them for using the red dice and evolving and everything else! Thank goodness we could get them back when resting (passive).

I should have been more aggressive. But when I tried, I totally got trounced by a Reborn Wyrm. I thought I could gang up on it but it's flippable stats with high attack or high defense messed me up. I lost two of my minions before I got cold feet and played it safe for a while to harvest more crystals.

But by then my berserkers had no endurance and the giant Chapter angel swooped in and picked them off for the win. I didn't even have the chance to use the resurrection banner move because I couldn't draw the evolve card from my deck.

Sigh. But first time playing a game doesn't count!

Fun game for a first try! Rolling the dice during encounters was harrowing because we were using up crystals and knowing that if we ran out, we were in trouble when someone targets you. But it's also gleeful too, muhahaha!
