The Sudbury and District Board of Health is asking the province to provide adults who receive social assistance with $100 more per month to buy nutritious food. Based on information from the Sudbury and District Health Unit's 2009 nutritious food basket report, the board came to the conclusion that it is difficult for those on social assistance to find enough money to eat a healthy diet.
