#3 CAN I FIX the Robot Wars Radio Controlled Shunt 40MHz NOT THIS TIME. I stripped down a lot of the broken RC cars in my junk pile looking for matching gears. I thought I had found enough but when I came to put this back together I found I was one short but we do get to see what this SHUNT does. I will have to do a bit more scavenging.

I didn't buy this the first time I saw it in the charity shop but when it was still there on the second visit I decided to waste my money. It said incomplete on the label although visibly it looked all there. A quick check when I got home revealed it needs a rechargeable battery and of course a matching charger. The tear down revealed more problems, each of the pinion gears on the 3 motors are split plus 3 more inside so a total of 6 will have to be replaced and my chances of finding matching identical gears is pretty slim. The only positive is the transmitter and receiver seem OK and give the facility to control 3 motors.
