McLaren P1 GTR. Geneva motor show. 03.03.2015 McLaren has displayed the production version of the P1 GTR during the Geneva Motor Show. Described as the “best driver's car in the world on track”, the vehicle is 50 kg (110 lbs) lighter than the standard P1 thanks to the use of polycarbonate side windows, carbon fiber panels in the roof and engine bay and titanium exhaust pipes. Power is provided by a 3.8-liter V8 unit with 800 HP (588 kW), supported by a 200 HP (147 kW) electric motor for a combined output of 1,000 HP (735,5 kW). Downforce has also been increased with 10 percent and now stands at 660 kg (1,455 lbs) at 241 km/h (150 mph). The track-oriented model is 80mm wider and 50mm lower than the regular P1. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels with center-locking system and Pirelli slick tires.
