The Collector is a 2009 American horror film written by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, and directed by Dunstan. This film (and the sequel The Collection) are, to me, two of the better horror films of the past decade.

A former thief named Arkin (Josh Stewart) breaks into a house in order to steal enough to pay off his ex-wife's loan sharks. He thought no one was in the house...but he was wrong...

A cat and mouse chase ensues with plenty of traps filled throughout the house as he tries to save the survivors as well as keep from been caught in The Collector's traps...
