This part 2 of the What's In Your Box Tool Makers Collaboration for RRITS. These punches will be manufactured and then sent to Kieth Fenners What's In Your Box giveaway at the end of the year. I am designing a set of punches. The set will include Center, Pin, Starting Pin and Roll Pin punches. In this 3 part series I make one center punch, pin punch and one roll pin punch. I show the making of just the Roll Pin punch to demonstrate the procedure that I used to make these first test punch's. This set of three test punches will be sent to fellow youtuber Stan Zinkosky (Shadon HKW, Bar Z Industrial) for heat treatment then sent to Ray Goff an avid viewer and wanting to participate in the making of the punches. Ray will then pay a visit to Tom Lipton (Oxtools) , another fellow youtuber. Ray and Tom will then test the punches, to determine if the W-1 Drill rod will be a good material and how the heat treatment will stand up. Also they will looking at there overall performance and looks. Then they then will send them back to me and I will finalize the drawings and material specs. Then a group of machinist will begin making the punches, approx 20 punches in all. During the video I mention everybody's name and show there links.
