Here is a quick overview of how to set up a mixer with your PC to mix songs from your desktop or online with your voice and get it to playback onto the internet through a stream. 

The biggest problem everyone has is they try to play a song online and sing along, usually from their headphones and then sing into their mic but what they don't realise is nobody online can hear the music, all they can hear is the person singing. 

What happens is the computer pushes the music out of the headset or speakers and the soundcard only hears what the mic hears. The old SoundBlaster audio cards used to have a full-duplex option which let the audio card hear what you were singing and what the audio card was playing but I can't seem to find that option now.

This is the best way to play a song on your PC and mix it with your voice so everyone online can hear it as you hear it.  It also gives you full control of the balance between voice and music.
